Table of Contents

Let’s take a look at some of the top trending searches for this year!

Trending Colors

This year is a tale of two totally opposite color stories. On one end, opalescent and iridescent palettes are everywhere: chrome details, opal, and Bridgerton blue. Opalite aesthetic is wayy up (thanks, Taylor), and 80s pastels are making a comeback. On the other end, dark romance is having a moment: moody, fruit-inspired tones and rich vintage reds.

Ethereal Vibes:

  • opalite aesthetic +2,710%
  • opalescent aesthetic +685%
  • purple opal +545%
  • chrome wedding +340%

  • bridgerton blue +100%

Moody Tones:

  • plum wedding theme +630%
  • fig wedding +515%
  • muted terracotta +545%
  • merlot wedding +370%
  • raspberry wedding +330%

Trending Attire

The alt-bride aesthetic is in. Many Gen Z couples are forgoing the traditional in favor of vintage, dramatic, and edgier looks. For example, searches for “celestial whimsigoth,” red veils, and black gothic wedding dresses are on the rise. Bold headwear is also replacing the traditional veil. Tiaras, caps, fascinators, Juliet cap veils, and pearl headdresses are everywhere on Pinterest right now.

  • fascinator styles +1,865%
  • 1980 wedding dress +1,090%
  • drop waist wedding dress corset +1,405%
  • juliet veil cap +245%
  • pearl headdress +225%
  • custom wedding hats +155%
  • silk backless wedding dress +155%
  • halter neck wedding dresses +145%
  • forehead tiara +125%

Trending Venues

Of all the trends on the list, I have to say that I find the “Unexpected Venues” trend to be one of the most interesting. Ballrooms are out. Couples are finding unique venues that contribute to a full experience for them and their guests. Imagine having a jazz club wedding, a wedding in a movie theater, or a mountainside ceremony in the Rocky Mountains!

  • jazz club wedding +1,115%
  • enchanted palace +545%
  • rocky mountain wedding +270%
  • dream ranch +245%
  • speakeasy lounge +225%
  • mini chapel +180%
  • cabin wedding ideas +110%
  • movie theater wedding +105%
  • glass greenhouse wedding +100%

Trending Bouquets & Florals

Bouquet alternatives are stealing the show. Beaded flowers, bouquet purses (I LOVE! 😍), and note bouquets are all trending. Some couples are skipping flowers altogether and getting creative with the format. Beyond bouquets, sensory florals are big too β€” flower bar setups and full flower installations are showing up in feeds everywhere.

  • bouquet purse +1,015%
  • book flower arrangement +725%
  • bedazzled flower +715%
  • note bouquet +555%
  • men’s flower bouquet +565%
  • beaded flowers bouquet +305%
  • bouquet with no flowers +240%

Trending Favors & Guest Experience

This one shouldn’t come as a surprise, since the 90s are really in the spotlight right now. Couples are leaning into analog, screen-free guest experiences for their weddings, too. Matchbox favors, wedding coloring books, button pictures, and written songs are all gaining popularity. The idea is to give guests something meaningful and memorable to do at the wedding (and take home after!).

  • written songs +1,975%
  • match box inspo +940%
  • unique wedding activities +720%
  • wedding projector +625%
  • cornhole boards wedding +440%
  • newspaper photobooth +420%
  • slideshow pics +340%
  • vinyl record wedding +245%
  • playing cards wedding +220%
  • video guestbook +240%
  • analog photobooth +155%
  • wedding mailbox +125% (this one is so cute!)

There are SO many trends I wasn’t able to go over in this post. If you want to see the complete list of trending keywords, check out the full Pinterest Wedding Trends Report.

So you may be thinking, That’s all well and good, but what do I do with this information?

While hopping on trends shouldn’t be the foundation of your whole blog or Pinterest strategy, they can be a great supplemental way to get your work out there. Here are some ideas for ways you can use the Pinterest Wedding Trends Report right now.

Blog About the Trends

1. Write a Real Wedding Blog Post That Highlights a Trend

If you’ve already shot, designed, planned, or worked on a wedding that fits one of these trends, write a real wedding blog post highlighting it. Use the trend language (and trend-specific keywords) in the title, headers, and body so couples Googling these ideas can actually find your work.

2. Write About Your Favorite Trends (& Share Your Unique Perspective on Them)

You don’t have to wait until you’ve worked a trend in real life to write about it. Pick a trend that genuinely excites you and write a post breaking it down. What do you love about it? What makes it work? Are there any important considerations?

This positions you as an expert who understands what’s coming. As a bonus, these posts give you something to refer couples to during consultations.

Pin Images that Relate to the Trends

These trends originated from keywords people are already searching for on Pinterest. So you know people want to see images that align with those ideas. Comb through the list and see if you have content that relates to any of the trends. Then, link to a blog post that elaborates on it. When you’re creating your pins, make sure to use those exact terms in your pin titles, descriptions, and board names.

Content Ideas to Get You Started

Here’s just a few of the ways you could incorporate those trends into your content strategy:

πŸ“Έ Wedding Photographers

  • Have you worked at any of those unexpected venues?
  • Do you have any images of brides wearing veil alternatives?
  • Did any of your couples have analog activities at their reception?

πŸ’Œ Wedding Stationers

  • Have you designed invitations in any of the trending colors?
  • Have you designed stationery for any of those unexpected venues?

Psst: Here are some more blog post ideas for wedding stationers you might be interested in.

πŸ’ Wedding Florists

  • Have you created unique bouquets that fit any of the trends?
  • What’s your take on alternative bouquets vs. traditional ones?

The 2026 Pinterest Wedding Trends Report is way more than a list of trends. It’s a real look at what couples are searching for right now. Plus, it’s a head start for vendors who are willing to put in the work to show up in front of them.

The catch is that all of this takes time. Writing blog posts, creating fresh pins, researching additional keywords, scheduling content, watching analytics. It adds up fast on top of running your wedding business.

If you’d rather have someone else handle the content side while you focus on the work that brings you joy, I can help. I write SEO-optimized blog posts and offer full-service Pinterest management for wedding creatives who want their content working for them in the background.

Pinterest is already telling you what couples want. I hope this guide gave you a head start on putting it to work!
