hello,

Ready to Make Your Content Work Harder?

I'm in :)

Let's take you from overlooked to fully booked with Pinterest & blogging!

The other day I was brainstorming titles for a client’s real wedding blog post, trying to come up with the perfect term to describe the wedding vibe. After several minutes, I realized the only adjectives I was able to come up with off the top of my head were the typical style words that you hear used everywhere: classic, romantic, elegant, timeless. Those terms have their place, but I wanted something a little more specific to describe this particular wedding. And so I went in search of a comprehensive list of adjectives.

Alas, I came up short. We know that necessity is the mother of invention, so when I couldn’t find any resources, I decided to make my own list. This list isn’t just some copy and paste from Chat GPT, either. This is a roundup of style words I’ve used for client blogs, as well as words I’ve seen frequently used in major publications like Style Me Pretty and Green Wedding Shoes.

📌 Save this list of style words to guide you the next time you need to write a real wedding blog post!

Table of style words used to describe weddings

What is a Real Wedding Blog Post?

Before we get to the list, it’s important to go over what a real wedding blog post actually is. If you’re in the wedding industry and you’ve participated in a wedding or a styled shoot, you have a goldmine of content! And no, I don’t just mean for Instagram. Those galleries can be used for real wedding blog posts.

In the wedding industry, blogging is such an important part of your overall marketing strategy. No matter what type of wedding creative you are, blogs have the power to bring in qualified leads to your website on repeat. When you write real wedding blogs, you help nurture, educate, and reassure couples that you are the vendor for them.

A real wedding blog includes text about the couple, their day, their vendors, your unique contribution, and more. It also includes a curated gallery of images that you want to share to show couples what’s possible.

Extra Terms I Love to Include in Real Wedding Blogs

Whenever I’m workshopping titles for a post, I also love to include extra details for context and SEO. Seasons, colors, setting, and any combination of the style words above work wonderfully for this.

For example:

  • Whimsical Spring Garden Wedding at [Venue] – Style, season, setting
  • Classic Black and White Wedding at [Venue] – Style, colors
  • Relaxed Coastal Wedding at [Venue] – Style, setting
  • Elegant French Blue Wedding in the Countryside – Style, color, setting

How to Choose the Right Style Words for Your Real Wedding Blog Post

If this list saved you from staring at a screen trying to decide if a wedding was “romantic,” “elegant,” or just “really pretty,” then I’ve done my job. These style words are here to give your writing direction and help you tell the story with a little more specificity. Pick a few that actually feel true to the day, write like a real human, and move on with your life.

And if you’re reading this thinking, cool, but I still don’t want to write my own wedding blogs, that’s where I come in! I help wedding creatives turn real weddings into blog posts that sound like them, attract the right clients, and actually get published instead of living in your drafts forever.
